Valentine's Day Special ❤️

Indifference to Self reflection

Dear Besties,

Growing up, up until 2022, I didn't rate Valentine's Day. It wasn't really that deep for me. Perhaps it was because I never had anyone to get me a Valentine's gift, or maybe it was influenced by what I had heard about the origin of Valentine's Day and how couples seemed to overshadow us singles on that day. I was always sour about Valentine's, not thinking about it twice.

But as they say, growth is key. Although love between partners should be expressed every day, not just on Valentine's Day.

Recently, I've come to see Valentine's Day as a time for personal reflection on the essence of love in our lives. It's not just about the roses, chocolates, red dresses, or expensive dates.

For me, it has become a day of celebration—an opportunity to express affection openly. However, I understand that for others, it might be a day that stirs a mix of emotions. Regardless of your stance, let's take a moment to reflect.

In a world that often rushes past us, Valentine's Day can serve as a reminder to appreciate the people who add color to our lives. Whether it's a romantic partner, a friend, or a family member, love comes in various forms.

Consider the moments that have shaped your understanding of love—the laughter, shared dreams, and even the challenges that strengthened bonds. How have your experiences molded your perception of love, and how do you express it in return?

Perhaps this year, you're celebrating self-love, acknowledging personal growth and resilience. Valentine's Day need not solely revolve around external relationships; it can also be an opportunity to cherish the love and kindness you've shown yourself.

Happy Valentine's Day, besties! 💖
